Kingdoms of Harad is the thirteenth expansion for the free MMORPG The Lord of the Rings Online, originally released in 2007. The latest DLC from Standing Stone Games contains the most dialogues in the history of all add-ons, and almost the entire main storyline has been voice-acted.

New features in the expansion

In Kingdoms of Harad, we explore a new region: Mur Ghala, divided into four vast zones. These are the desolate lands of Adagum, the dry canyons of Kighan, the sun-scorched plateaus of An Sheru, and the once vibrant lakes of Idagul.

With the ability to advance to level 160, we gain access to new skills and equipment. We use them in three new instances and a raid, forming the final stage of the "Song of Waves and Wind" storyline.

Throughout the game we complete over four hundred quests. Besides the Coin Brotherhood, we encounter warriors from the Utugi tribe and the Tharduth.

Story

The action in Kingdoms of Harad begins right after the events of the previous add-on. Along with Mithrandir, we embark on a journey deep into Harad, whose Kingdoms are fighting for power in the vacuum left by Sauron's fall. The Tharduth, ancient servants of Morgoth, rise again, and Gandalf arrives with a warning about the forces of darkness in the South.
