The Pirate: Caribbean Hunt for PC, AND and iOS is another game created by Miroslaw Dymek, a game designer known for Zombie Defense - a hit on mobile devices, as well as for classic strategy game series Earth and Polanie. It is an extensive free-to-play game about pirates with optional microtransactions. It was first released on Android operated smartphones and tablets. After a few weeks, IOS and PC versions came out.

Story

The game has no specific storyline presented. The action of The Pirate: Caribbean Hunt for PC, AND and iOS is set in a large, open world, which recreates parts of the Caribbean Archipelago. The player becomes a pirate ship captain searching for fame and glory. The player is responsible for their entire crew, so it is good to spend some money on better ships when it is possible.

Gameplay

The player begins their adventure aboard a boat. However, after succeeding in several spectacular pirate acts, the player can be wealthy enough to acquire full-blown warships. The best ships have multiple decks, dozens of cannons and a few types of ammunition for specific purposes in combat. Currently, the game offers sixteen ship classes that can be additionally upgraded. Achieving various goals earns experience and unlocks new abilities.

Between subsequent missions, and plundering cargo ships, pirate bases, forts and harbors, the player can also spend some time on improving their fleet without any restrictions. The fleet is not just a background, it actually takes part in battles - the player gives indirect orders to particular units. The fleet is useful mainly during the battles against war ships, during attacks on convoys and when the player needs cover while smuggling goods or picking up treasures. The player can also acquire enemy ships and make them part of their fleet.

Dymek, who is an experienced sailor, transformed his own knowledge directly into the game, making sailing and handling a ship as realistic as possible. That means that the player has to take direction and speed of the wind into account during in-game sea-voyages. Using the right type of sails at a given time is also crucial. Ramming enemy's ships is possible during combat. Each ship has several damage zones - damaging particular parts of the ship influences the unit in different ways. The creator traveled to the Caribbean himself in order to convey the atmosphere of the place in his game. It resulted in designing an authentic, detailed world with hundreds of islands, dozens of historical harbors, changing weather conditions and a day and night cycle. Also, the game gives an opportunity to create pirate bases and build various structures.

Game modes

The Pirate: Caribbean Hunt for PC, AND and iOS received a set of online features over time. The players can create pirate clans and join those already created in order to plunder harbors belonging to organized enemies. The game features multiplayer battles on open waters.

Technology

The game has proper three-dimensional visuals. The Pirate: Caribbean Hunt for PC, AND and iOS is based on Unity engine and does not require a high-end PC. Even a few years-old machine should be able to run the game, since the graphics are appropriately scaled.
