Dionysus Acroreites is an indie developer who is behind the creation of The RPG. As the title suggests, we are dealing with an RPG game (specifically - action RPG) that doesn't take itself too seriously. This game is full of absurd humor and is a parody of works such as The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, West of Loathing, or Supraland.

Gameplay

In The RPG we watch the action from the first-person perspective (FPP).

Unique adventure

During the game, we end up on Dungeon Island, which is ruled by the Cool King. We gain access to an open world, and as we explore it, we meet its inhabitants, perform quests, venture into dungeons (after previously acquiring the Adventure Seeker's Ticket), face dangers, and gradually uncover the secrets of this piece of land.

Parody of an RPG

As it quickly turns out, not everything here is as it may seem. The king is not necessarily as cool as he is portrayed, monsters treated after each of our escapades are already tired of experiencing their own "Groundhog Day", while the people responsible for maintaining the dungeons (they are the ones who light the torches and set traps on the next floors) have to work even on weekends. As if that wasn't enough, the Glitchy Dragon created as our antagonist, doesn't necessarily have to be one.
