Developed by the debut Swiss studio Urban Games, the economic strategy is a spiritual continuation of the popular Transport Tycoon series. The gameplay in Train Fever focuses on the development of rail and road infrastructure. Our responsibilities include purchasing and managing a fleet of vehicles, such as trains, trams, buses and trucks.
It’s the year 1850, and there are great times ahead! Establish a transport company and be its manager. Build infrastructure such as railways and stations, purchase transportation vehicles and manage lines. Fulfill the people’s needs and watch cities evolve dynamically.
Classical role-playing elements let you identify with your game character. Earn achievements and collect bonus points, then use them to train your skills. The four basic skills directly affect game-deciding parameters such as access to infrastructure and vehicle market, maintenance rates, access to statistics and intelligent organization, and much more. Devise your own strategy!
Keep damage away from your company and master the vagaries of the historical context. Act with dexterity and constantly improve your skills. Build the largest and wealthiest transport empire the world has ever seen!

Game Ratings for Train Fever Video Game.
Twinfinite: 3 / 5 by Chaz Miller
In full honesty, I'm going to admit that I did not do very well playing Train Fever. It was a difficult and, at times, frustrating experience for me to get the hang of it for this review, but I stuck with it as best I could because, despite my flagrant ineptitude, I got the sense that it was a good game if you're into simulators.
GameWatcher: 7 / 10 by Alex Donaldson
It's a smart simulation game with some really great use of modern horsepower atop the basic trappings of older games in a genre that sadly isn't as active as it likely deserves to be. Just keep in mind you'll need to go in with plenty of patience and a willingness to search outside the game if something obscure trips you up. If you can get past that, and you like a bit of simulation, you're going to have a lot of fun.
CGMagazine: 6 / 10 by Wayne Santos
In the end, Train Fever has been designed to serve a very, VERY specific need; people that love to tinker with the infrastructure of public transportation.
