  • Agitator Mechanics: Introduces unique agitator mechanics that allow players to influence political movements, adding depth to gameplay.
  • Character Recognition: Players appreciate the inclusion of historical figures like Victor Hugo, which enriches the narrative experience.
  • Improved Content Quality: The DLC's quality is noted to be on par with other well-received content, such as "Colossus of the South."

The main cons of the game

  • Price Issues: Many users feel that the DLC is overpriced for the amount of content it provides, leading to disappointment.
  • Limited Gameplay Impact: Critics argue that the DLC adds very little in terms of gameplay mechanics and is mostly a reskin or minor enhancement rather than a substantial addition.
  • RNG Elements: Some mechanics, particularly related to political movements and the effectiveness of historical figures, are seen as overly reliant on RNG (random number generation), which can frustrate players.
  • Content Should Be Base Game: Several users believe that many features included in the DLC should have been part of the base game, making the DLC feel unnecessary.

The features or elements that are missing from the game according to users

  • Basic Game Functions: Players express frustration that essential game functions and mechanics are locked behind a paid DLC, which they feel should be available to all players.
  • Lack of Warfare Rework: Some users are disappointed with the absence of a rework for warfare mechanics, which they feel is crucial for a comprehensive gameplay experience.
  • More Diverse Content: There is a call for broader content that isn't solely focused on France, suggesting that more nations or themes could be included to enhance the overall game experience.
  • Shortcuts for Repetitive Actions: Players mention the need for shortcuts to streamline repetitive tasks, indicating a demand for quality-of-life improvements.

Summary

  • Overall, while the DLC offers some enjoyable content and improvements, many users feel it falls short in terms of value for money and the breadth of features provided.
