Viewfinder is a puzzle game in which you transform the world by taking pictures and manipulating perspective. The game combines many different artstyles, resulting in a surreal atmosphere. It's a debut game of a small Scottish studio Sad Owl Studios. It was published by Thunderful Publishing, responsible for many other indie games, such as LEGO Bricktales and Planet of Lana.
The game's world is three-dimensional and observed from a first-person view. The player's objective is to solve puzzles by altering the reality around them and messing with the perspective. This can be done with a polaroid, which can take photos of objects and implement them into the world for various purposes, such as creating passages to previously inaccessible locations. Other pictures, such as sketches, postcards and screenshots, can also be "brought to life". The player also encounters many surreal elements and optical illusions, which can shift depending on the perspective.

Game Ratings for Viewfinder Video Game.
GameSpot: 9 / 10 by Alessandro Barbosa
Viewfinder stretches its entrancing central mechanic in delightful ways, constructing an engrossing, yet brief, puzzle-adventure that shouldn't be missed.

Viewfinder is a simple puzzle game that wows thanks to a tremendous underpinning mechanic that makes getting around feel like genuine sorcery. Both the story and the storytelling are a little hit and miss, but there’s enough there to keep you engaged (but not enthralled) until the credits roll. It doesn’t showcase the kind of multiplicity that some other puzzle titles do, and rarely gets your brain out of second gear as a result, but none of that dampens the enjoyment of the experience one bit. Why? Because making photos real and moving through them is really bloody cool.

Viewfinder is a unique game that begs to be experienced. I do wish it was available on more platforms as everyone needs to experience this unique puzzle game. I could not put it down until the end and I cannot wait to see what this team accomplishes next. There is so much here that impresses, it never overstays its welcome, and the technical achievement will be talked about for years. Definitely play this game if you have the means
