Warlander is a TPP action game revolving around multiplayer combat. The players participate in massive online fantasy battles between several armies. Aside from eliminating other enemies, they must create war machines and siege enemy strongholds.
Warlander is an online fantasy action game. It was developed by the Japanese studio Toylogic. The game is free-to-play, though it contains microtransactions. Its creators used to assist other developers with games such as NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139..., Super Smash Bros. Brawl or Kid Icarus: Uprising. Warlander is their first major standalone project.
The gameplay in Warlander is shown from the third-person perspective (TPP). The gameplay revolves around waging massive online battles, which support up to 100 players at once. The combat system is rather arcade-inspired, letting us make use of melee weapons, ranged weapons, spells, siege machines and even mechs.
There are many different character classes to choose from. Defeating enemies, completing objectives and building machines rewards you with Valor points you can use to enhance your character.
Battles involve either two or five armies, each with their own stronghold. The game ends once only one army has any men remaining. Players can construct war machines and take over enemy watchtowers. When attacking an enemy castle we must first weaken its defenses, destroying walls, gates and bridges.
The game places a strong emphasis on strategic elements - some players act as commanders, while making and breaking alliances is key during five armies battles.
Warlander is only available in multiplayer.
The game's 3D graphics are pleasant to the eye, made with the use of a slightly cartoonish artstyle.

Game Ratings for Warlander Video Game.
Screen Rant: 3 / 5 by Peter Morics
Warlander is an entertaining and violent romp that shouldn't have been born a roguelike.
Niche Gamer: 7 / 10 by Brandon Lyttle
At the end of the day, you’ll probably have fun with Warlander if you’re a fan of Team Death Match style games. Whether that means Mordhau or a first-person shooter like Team Fortress 2, the action is chaotic and the deaths aren’t punishing so you can always just sign in and get to fighting, and you should.
Shacknews: 3 / 10 by Sam Chandler
Warlander is a disappointing experience that fails to capture the pleasures of a roguelike game. The combat is unpolished and sluggish and it is rife with poor animations and unfinished assets and elements. Outside of the dismemberment, there's little here worth seeing.
