Warpaws PC

Warpaws is a humorous real-time strategy game. It was co-developed by Slipgate Ironworks (known for Rad Rodgers, Graven, SiN: Reloaded, Kingpin: Reloaded) and 2B Games, published by Fulqrum Publishing.

Plot

Warpaws is set in a world inhabited by anthropomoprhic animals. Dogs and cats are engaged in a fierce WW2-like conflict. The player must lead one of the sides to victory.

Mechanics

Warpaws makes use of the top-down perspective. We'll battle on deserts, icy and volcanic wastelands, beautiful islands and city streets. There are many different units to send into battle, ranging from several kinds of infantry, tanks, artillery to aircraft. Each unit has different strength we must take advantage of to come out on top. We must also keep the environment in mind while developing tactics. The environment is destructible and we can use that, for example, by luring enemies onto a frozen lake and cracking the ice under them. Curiously, the game doesn't feature base building or resources. Instead, we must take over points of interest to access new units and other advantages.

Game modes

In addition to a singleplayer campaign, Warpaws features competitive multiplayer and cooperative multiplayer, in which players work together against an AI-controlled opponent.

Technical aspects

Warpaws features a colorful, cartoonish artstyle.
