Mechanics

In Warriors Orochi 4, the action is presented from a third-person perspective. During the game, the players are traveling through varied locations and performing quests by fighting hordes of enemies. Taking over strategic points and maintaining the morale of soldiers fighting by players’ side is important as well.

In addition to masses of regular opponents, the players must also face commanders, offices, and generals who are the bosses in the game. Luckily, the players have access to a few aces in their slaves. There are one hundred and seventy playable characters – before the battle, the players can choose a few warriors and then freely switch between them during the battle. Each hero has a set of unique fast, strong, special, and magic attacks provided by ancient artifacts. The latter enables the players, for example, to freeze the enemies or throw them away with a powerful wind blow.

Technical aspects

Warrior’s Orochi 4 is powered by the same technology that was used in Dynasty Warriors 9. The graphics of both games are of similar quality, although the developers managed to slightly increase the quality of textures and to add some additional effects.
