Zombie Army Trilogy is a set of the first two installments in the Sniper Elite: Nazi Zombie Army series, complemented with a third, additional campaign. It was developed by Rebellion, the creators of the Sniper Elite series, Rogue Warrior and Medal of Honor Underground. The title is divided into three campaigns, consisting of 15 missions in total and telling the story of a struggle against hordes of zombies. The players assume the role of one of 8 characters and join the combat.

The gameplay mechanics are based on rules known from the main Sniper Elite series. It means that the action is observed from the third-person perspective, and we use sniper rifles as well as various explosive traps most of the time (while in total, there are 25 kinds of armaments to choose from). Additionally, we may take advantage of the zombies’ condition – shooting an undead opponent in the leg, for example, will make its limb fall off and influence the zombie's mobility accordingly. The game features also the iconic X-ray effect triggered by extraordinary shots, showing the bullet tearing through the zombie flesh.

Zombie Army Trilogy may not do much new in the grand scheme of things, but everything that it does, it does well.

TheSixthAxis: 7 / 10 by Stefan L

Zombie Army Trilogy knows what it wants to be, a straightforward zombie sniping game that lacks any real pretensions or delusions of grandeur. Parts of the trilogy are showing their age and difficulty spikes can sap away the fun, but steel yourself for a challenge, get some mates together and there's plenty to like about it.

Destructoid: 7 / 10 by Chris Carter

If you can get past the cheap-feeling engine and have three buddies on hand, you'll have a lot of fun with Zombie Army Elite. It's a blast to overcome particularly tough sections with a team, and hitting an on-point shot from 50 feet away can provide quite the rush. While the package has a lot of problems that prevent it from justifying that $50 price tag, I enjoyed my time playing the entire campaign online.
