Zombie Army VR is an FPS designed for virtual reality headsets, representing a series of spin-offs of the popular Sniper Elite series. The game is the result of cooperation between Rebellion, the company responsible for the brand, and the XR Games studio, which previously delivered a similar production titled Zombieland VR: Headshot Fever.
The action of Zombie Army VR takes place after the events depicted in Zombie Army 4: Dead War. The peace didn't return to Europe after defeating Zombie Hitler, as hordes of zombies still roam the war-torn continent. During the game, we play the role of one of the Deadhunters - elite soldiers fighting the living dead. The protagonist ends up near Nuremberg to help the legendary commander, Hermann Wolff, in finding his family and ending the zombie apocalypse.
In Zombie Army VR we watch the action from a first-person perspective (FPP). During the game, we explore various locations with weapons in hand and exterminate hordes of living dead. We eliminate adversaries, making use of machine guns, shotguns and pistols, as well as sniper rifles.
Following the example of the Sniper Elite games, accurate shots fired from a long distance are crowned with spectacular and bloody finishers (so-called Kill Cams). Additionally, the game allows us to use two types of weapons at the same time, such as pistols or machine guns. This method quickly drains ammunition, but we can get rid of enemies in bulk.
During the game, we make use of motion controllers, aiming and striking with the end of the gun ourselves, which is especially useful when we run out of bullets. If we want to achieve further victories, we must also master the actions related to reloading weapons in advance.
As we progress, we accumulate experience points and develop our Deadhunter. In addition to this, we unlock weapon upgrade sets, which increase accuracy, range and magazine capacity.
In Zombie Army VR we can play alone or in cooperation with another player. There's a sense of competition thanks to a scoring system awarding us for our feats on the battlefield.

Game Ratings for Zombie Army VR Video Game.
Use a Potion: 7.5 / 10
It might not be the most refined shooter on the Meta Quest 3, but Zombie Army VR delivers exactly what it promises: gruesome fun, solid gunplay, and a co-op experience that’s hard to beat. It does have some issues that prevent it from striving towards VR greatness, but it performs well on the Meta Quest 3 and offers enough content and replayability to justify a purchase - especially for fans of the franchise or anyone looking for an enjoyable, action-heavy VR shooter that they can play with a friend.
TheBigBois: 7.5 / 10 by Zachary Holmes
It’s dumb, fun, and soaked in blood. Zombie Army VR doesn’t reinvent the genre, but it does deliver five hours of solid undead-blasting chaos.
COGconnected: 78 / 100 by Lou Sytsma
Zombie Army VR is a fun arcade shooter. Killing zombies never gets old, and the World War II setting is an entertaining mash with the undead genre. The game really gives off a Castle Wolfenstein vibe. However, some may find that the gameplay loop will wear out its welcome. The VR implementation is top-notch, with manual VR weapon loading mechanics that add to the challenge. If zombies are your thing, along with the X-Ray sniper rifle replays, Zombie Army VR will be right up your alley.
