The expansion adds twenty new species, such as killer whales, bottlenose dolphins, sea turtles, and sea rays, as well as new decorations, buildings, and attractions for your visitors. Zoo Tycoon 2: Marine Mania also expands the animal interactions systems; you can now train choreography with them, which allows you to organize shows that attract more tourists, and that, in turn, increases your income. Other new additions include ten new scenarios. The expansion is not standalone, which means it requires the core game to run.

A continuation to a popular economic strategy developed by Blue Fang Games. Once again, the players takes on the role of a zoo manager, and the game features about thirty species of animals. Because the animals one breeds require constant supervision, it is necessary to hire adequately-trained staff - animal trainers, cleaners, security; one also needs to hire entertainers for the guests. Alongside progression, the player gains access to subsequent buildings - apart from enclosures and cages for the animals, one will be constructing mainly entertainment facilities and elements making the zoo more attractive, such as lanterns, benches or stylish bridges. Of course, executing one's plans requires gathering a sufficient amount of money; if things go wrong, the player can additionally increase the income through increasing ticket prices or reducing salaries of the staff. Zoo Tycoon 2 offers several game modes. Apart from the story campaign and free play, one can also check out the Guest Mode, which casts them in the role of a guest at the zoo, or the Keeper Mode, focusing on taking care of the animals and training them. The experience comes with high-quality visuals in full 3D.

An expansion for Zoo Tycoon 2, developed by the creators of the core game, Blue Fang Games. The add-on is the biggest one created for the game so far, as it introduces thirty new species, such as dodos, Tasmanian tigers, and even dinosaurs, including the Tyrannosaurus Rex. You task is to make sure they have the best living conditions possible (which means they have to resemble the animals' natural habitat), so that the beautiful and well-kept specimens will attract more visitors, who will pay you money. That, in turn allows you to further develop your zoo. The expansion requires the core game to run and does not introduce any changes to the mechanics or the visuals.

An expansion for Zoo Tycoon 2, developed by the creators of the core game, Blue Fang Games. The expansion allows you to feature some of the rarest endangered species, such as Komodo dragons, koala bears, orangutans, and Galapagos tortoises, in your zoo. To ensure their survival, you have to make sure they live in the conditions that resemble their natural habitat as closely as possible. Since your primary goal is to attract as many visitors as possible, you have to build many observation points or even bridges above various cages. In Zoo Tycoon 2: Endangered Species you can also take your visitors on a car ride, allowing them to observe the animals from a closer distance, which increases your income (satisfied visitors pay you more money). There is also an educational center, which allows your visitors to learn additional information about certain species. The expansion requires the core game to run.

An economic strategy game in which the player manages a virtual aquarium. As usually in games of this genre, the player starts with a small business, limited premises and modest funds on the virtual account. Gradually earned money is invested into expansion of the aquarium, new species and taking care of the animals bought previously. All of that increases player’s popularity and income. Megaquarium features a large variety of fish types, each with unique needs that must be taken care of for the business to remain profitable. The player must also hire workers, maintain their happiness and develop their skills. Unhappy employee will leave the company and the player will lose resources invested in their training. Employees, visitors and fish are partially unpredictable, forcing the player to frequently look for ways to control the situation when having only limited impact on the events.

The Eldritch Zookeeper is a game that combines elements from several video game genres in order to simulate the life of a zoo manager. The player keeps in his zoo creatures taken directly from the literary works of none other than Howard Phillips Lovecraft. New monsters are delivered on a daily basis and it is up to the player to build the appropriate fence or cage, depending on the type of the creature. Moreover, one has to tend to the monster’s needs and make sure they do not escape. The player also has to come up with some additional attractions for the visitors - constant presence of cosmic horrors can drive anyone insane. Simultaneously, all the responsibilities typical for economic strategy games have to be carried out by a single character. This unfortunate man has to do the entire work all by himself - whenever a beast breaks loose due to the character’s mistakes or visitors’ behavior, it is a high priority to keep the protagonist alive, which often leads to fighting the creatures or running away from the threat, exactly as in survival games.
