Kingdom Come Deliverance: How to acquire a good armor at the beginning?
After concluding the prologue, Henry doesn't have any armor which could defend him against enemy attacks. You need to find a better armor - this guide page contains a number of tips and ideas on how to do so.

- A good set of armor can be found by completing the side objectives of certain parts of the main quest. Run! - the quest that involves you in an attempt to run away from the Talmberg castle. You can talk to the guard standing on the main gate's post to learn that he will allow you to pass the gate only if you were wearing a guard's tabard and equipment.
- The armor is stored in one of the chests that can be found by following the quest marker - the chest, shown in the screenshot above, is found in one of the castle's towers. You can look around to find a shield that will also guard Henry against enemy attacks.

- The other opportunity to gain an armor appears after you've made it to Rattay and begun a different main quest called Keeping the Peace. This quest sees you pick-up a set of guard armor.
- You need to travel to the armory and either ask the guard shown in the screenshot or simply pick-up the armor from the chest (you'll also receive a club that is a good starting weapon for blunt damage).

- You can also gain an armor on your own, without engaging in any of these quests. As you probably know, you can knock out a non-player character by placing yourself behind his/her back and pressing the right button. This attack works on all opponents, even those that are more powerful than Henry and would defeat him easily during real combat. You only need to watch out for other characters in order to be undetected during the attack and quickly leave the scene of the crime.
- Try it and test this technique after reaching Talmberg. You can sneak behind one of the guards that patrol the castle walls on their own - the first screenshot shows an exemplary target. You can also look for an opportunity to attack one of the characters roaming the world of the game, including friendly and neutral knights equipped with heavy armor. A typical target is shown in the second screenshot.
Important note - There is an important limitation that involves wearing good armor in the initial stage of the game. Every armor weighs heavily and can exceed your carrying capacity. To get past this limitation, simply increase your Strength by 4 or 5 and unlock Mule I, a perk that increases your carrying capacity by 15 pounds. If you still cannot carry the armor, move the acquired armors to your horse's inventory and wait for a moment when your character has increased his strength.
