Kingdom Come Deliverance: How to get your first horse?
At the start of Kingdom Come: Deliverance your character doesn't have a horse - he has to rely on a stolen one or travel on foot. On this page of the guide you can find information on how to get your first horse that will stay with you forever (or until you change it into another mount).

- The beginning of the game can be misleading - after completing the first part of the prologue Henry mounts a horse and rides to Talmberg. You can't keep it because the horse's "presence" is only plot-related. The horse inventory tab and its stats are still inactive.
- You get your first horse after spending a few hours and completing The Prey main quest during which you go hunting with Lord Capon. After that you will receive a horse - this moment is presented in the picture above.

This horse will be useful in the very next main quest - The Hunt Begins. Find your mount called Pebbles - the animal stands in the castle's yard (the picture above). Mount it. From now on the animal will accompany you everywhere. Remember that you can call it.
Additonal notes:
- After receiving Pebbles you can open its bags and move items from Henry's inventory into them. This is a good way to reduce equipment weight when, e.g. you want to pick up a few heavier items from defeated enemies, go back to a town and sell them.
- Henry can buy a new horse that has more desirable attributes. Horses have four stats - speed, bags capacity (a horse's weight limit which is separate from Henry's), courage (a more frightened horse can shake Henry off its back when you get surrounded by bandits) and stamina (how long it can run). You can find horse traders (e.g. visit Uzhitz) and buy new mounts from them. The game switches Pebbles to a new horse automatically and it moves all items from your previous mount's bags to the new one.
