Mafia 3: My Name's Lincoln Clay... (killing Santangelo)

This task becomes available after you complete the mission "Kill Uncle Lou Marcano", where you catch and eliminate Lou. From a cutscene you will learn that Sal Marcano has paid for the services of the elite hitman Santangelo and this enemy will actively search for you in the French Ward district. BEFORE you attempt to enter the district, make sure that Lincoln has a full supply of adrenaline injections, a bullet-proof vest, grenades and good firearms (e.g. a rifle or a machinegun).

The attack will commence right after you return to the French Ward district

The confrontation with Santangelo will be similar to skirmishes with other hitmen, with whom Lincoln had to deal with in the earlier stages of the game. The elite assassin cannot be found in any specific location in the French Ward district. Instead, he and his gangsters will track down and attack Lincoln soon after the main character will reach the previously mentioned part of the city.

Attack the enemies from cover and feel free to use all of your arsenal

Right after you find yourself in Santangelo's crosshairs it would be best to fall back to a more defensible position, to make it easier for you to win the battle. It is best to retreat to the vicinity of one of the rackets, which Lincoln has previously taken over, the friendly personnel will then aid you in your fight. If you have no other choice, retreat into one of the side alleyways, which will make it harder to surround Lincoln.

Hide behind solid cover and do not hold back when it comes to unleashing your arsenal of weaponry, as Santangelo will be accompanied by a quite sizeable group of well-equipped gangsters. Do not let the enemies to draw too near to you and change cover if you see that they are about to use explosives. Santangelo is a more resilient enemy, but throwing several explosives his way, or firing at him with a good firearm will deprive him of hit points quite quickly. After you have won the battle (make sure that all of Santangelo's goons are dead!) approach Santangelo to finish him off (by holding the interact button).
