Frontier Developments announced Jurassic World Evolution 3. The release of the game will be part of the British studio's new strategy.
Dinosaur fans have reason to celebrate as Frontier Developments, a British company, has announced the development of a third game in the Jurassic World Evolution series. The title is set to be released in the fiscal year 2026, which is the period from June 1, 2025 to May 31, 2026.
The studio hasn't announced the official title of the game, it's almost certain that as a successor to the warmly received first installment (on Steam 86% of reviews out of 46,000 posted are positive) and second installment (88% of 22,000 reviews on Steam are positive) will be “baptized” as “Jurassic World Evolution 3” precisely. Developing another part of the dinosaur park simulator was a natural decision, as Frontier Developments claims that games from this series have achieved "great success." It's worth noting that JW Evolution 2, released in 2021, regularly receives paid expansions and free updates introducing new content.
We can expect that "three" will offer new dinosaur species, methods of their creation, campaigns or maps. Considering that a new Jurassic World film is scheduled for release in 2025, hopes are high that Evolution 3 will borrow many elements from that movie, just like Evolution 2 did from Dominion.
At the same time, Frontier Developments reminded that every year for the next three fiscal years it intends to release one creative management simulation. The devs of such games as Planet Coaster and Planet Zoo plan to announce the remaining two of these three titles "soon" (one of them is Evolution 3). This is supposed to be part of the company's new strategy, which in theory will bring it greater profits than before.
It's worth noting that JW Evolution 3 isn't the only upcoming big game with dinosaurs. There is also a first-person Jurassic Park: Survival on the horizon, although very little is known about this game.
