Alan Wake 2 Will Soon Get New Game Plus and Ending That 'Will Be Talked About' [Update]

After a successful The Game Awards 2023 , whereAlan Wake 2 raked in several statuettes, Remedy Entertainment announced an update called The Final Draft for the game. It will add a New Game Plus mode and introduce a completely fresh story ending.

The Final Draft will be released on Monday, December 11 at 10:00 a.m. PT on all supported platforms: PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
As the developers emphasize, the new story finale is expected to generate "speculation and theories" among the players. In addition, with the start of the next playthrough (in New Game Plus, of course) it will be possible to find previously unknown videos or pages of Alan's manuscript. In addition, "subtle" additions will be scattered across the map. However, it was not revealed specifically what the developers have in mind.
Recall that in the New Game Plus mode, players keep character progression or weapon upgrades (after the launch of New Game Plus you will find them in shoeboxes). This will ensure that the character will be "fairly" adequately prepared for the challenge awaiting on the highest difficulty level, which will also be added with the update - daredevils will be able to try their hand at "Nightmare" difficulty from Monday.
Remedy in its announcement stressed that you will need to complete the game once to fully enjoy The Final Draft.
Let's not forget that two DLCs for the game are also on the way. Next year, the developers will deliver Night Springs and Lake House.
Alan Wake 2 has been gathering very positive reviews from gamers and experts since its release (October 27, this year). Currently, the average rating of the title on Metacritic is 88/100 for the PS5 version (with 71 reviews posted).
