The return of Armored Core in - hopefully - full glory is still a bit away, but at least the final system requirements of Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon have been confirmed today. Details in Japanese can be found on the game's official website, Twitter and Steam, as well as in the infographic below.

It can be noted that the minimum requirements have increased slightly from the specs previously seen on Steam, mainly in the case of Nvidia cards. Previously proposed processors - Intel Core i5-8600K and AMD Ryzen 3 3300X - were replaced by comparable or weaker models: Core i7-4790, Core i5-8400, Ryzen 7 1800X and Ryzen 5 3600.

Fortunately, FromSoftware did not exaggerate the change in GPUs from Nvidia. Until now, the minimum configuration included a GeForce GTX 960, which has now been replaced by a GTX 1650. Surprisingly, the chip from AMD remained the same.

On the subject of graphics cards, it needs to be mentioned that Armored Core 6 will support ray tracing, although we'll only feast our eyes on it in the garage. At least we will spend a lot of time in it, as that's where we will be able to build and admire our mechs.

Of course, ray tracing will require a more powerful graphics card than the models listed in the recommended specifications. Fortunately - and this is probably due to the restriction of this option to the garage - we will manage even without the latest models. The absolute minimum is GeForce RTX 2060 (6GB) and Radeon RX 6600 (8GB), while the developers' recommendation are GeForce RTX 2070 (8GB), Radeon RX 6650 XT (8GB) and Intel Arc A770 (16GB).

Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon will debut on August 25. The game is also heading to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles. On PC, the game will be protected against pirates, though not with the help of Denuvo.
