Baldur's Gate 3 offers romance options with some characters, which is certainly an important part of the game for many players. Such mechanics often lead to intimate scenes between the player character and team member. It turns out that developers of BG3 have made use of the services of erotic scene coordinators in this regard, who supervised the process of recording such shots.

Intimate scenes in Baldur's Gate 3 under the eye of coordinators

The coordinators of intimate scenes are tasked with making sure that the actors taking part in them do not feel pressured into acting and are completely comfortable when acting out physical close-ups. The hiring of coordinators became more frequent after the "#metoo" movement. So far they have found their way onto the sets of many movies, including the recently popular Oppenheimer.

As reported by the BBC, the creators of Baldur's Gate 3 have hired specially trained coordinators to make sure the actors involved in the motion capture sessions feel comfortable while capturing them.

Jennifer English, who plays Shadowheart in the game, said she never felt disgusted while working on intimate scenes in the game. Studio Larian claims that this was one of the first times intimate scene coordinators have been hired in the game industry.

In the third installment of Gates of Baldur there will be no shortage of intimate scenes, and some of them will be unusual. An example is the situation in which playing a druid can lead to a close-up while being in bear form, about which you can read here. The ingenuity of Larian, as you can see, knows no bounds, and it is all the more good that the devs decided to seek help from the aforementioned coordinators.

Baldur's Gate 3 will hit the PC in just 8 days, on August 3.. PS5 owners will have to wait a little longer, as the game will debut on Sony consoles on September 6.
