Battlefield's free-to-play competitor is on the road to redemption. Delta Force approaches a new Season and launch on mobile devices
The next few weeks promise to be very good for Delta Force fans. The game will start a new season with many highlights, and the mobile versions of the project will also finally launch.

The multiplayer FPS Delta Force was one of the most important free-to-play releases last year. The game attracted a crowd of players, and more importantly, it has managed to retain most of them to this day (yesterday's activity record was 96,000 people playing simultaneously on Steam).
Even with its high popularity, many fans are complaining about different aspects of the game. On Steam, just 65% of the reviews are positive, and in the past 30 days, only 52% of the opinions favor Delta Force. The creators want to change this and have just revealed further plans for the game's development.
- The next season, Eclipse Vigil, will start on April 21st. The new season will introduce a new operator and a gameplay mode that is a variation of Warfare, but played on a smaller scale. Besides, we will get new items, including stun grenades and flying discs, which explode upon reaching their target, not only injuring enemies, but also temporarily slowing their movements.
- Also on April 21, the mobile versions of the game, for Android and iOS systems, will be finally released.
- The Eclipse Vigil will also include a new mini-gameplay mode called Operation Blackout, in which we will be fighting battles at night. This version will be available, at least for now, exclusively on PC.
- Besides, the devs are still combating cheaters. Last week, 1447 players were banned on PC. On the other side, during the closed beta of the mobile versions, bans were imposed on 6132 accounts.
All of this sounds good. However, it would also be good if the creators worked harder on the Black Hawk Down campaign released in February this year, which turned out to be a huge disappointment. Right now, its reception has improved slightly (right after the release, it had only 35% positive reviews on Steam, and today it is 44%), but it's still far from perfect.
Moreover, Team Jade studio boasted that over 20 million people have already played Delta Force. The devs also confirmed that work is still ongoing on the console versions. Developers are now focusing on reworking the interface and controls to fit controllers. More details about console editions are to be revealed soon.
