Premiere of Alan Wake 2 is fast approaching, and as a result, the developers are feeding us new facts about the game.

It turns out that the latest game by Remedy will see the return of Ahti, or the much-loved "caretaker" of the Oldest House from Control. There have been many fan-made theories, suggesting that he is not quite the person he claims to be.

It is worth bearing in mind that such an approach of the creators is not just fanservice, as the Alan Wake and series Control have been set in the same universe since the beginning.

As revealed by Remedy Entertainment's creative director Sam Lake, Ahti "will play a key role in Alan Wake 2", which is supposed to be a kind of fulfillment of a promise made to fans of the studio's games (via GameRant).

Let me remind you that after the main adventure in Control is over, the friendly janitor of Finnish origin informs the player that he is going on vacation.

However, if we solve all the side quests related to him, then he will also leave a business card with the signature: "Greetings from Watery, Washington State. Little Finland in America." Remedy's creative director, meanwhile, reveals that one of the locations in the new Alan Wake will be... Watery.

So is Ahti going to have an intense vacation? We'll find out soon enough, because on October 27, when Alan Wake 2 will officially debut on PC (Epic Games Store), PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
