Sam Lake and Max Payne Voice Actors Reunite After 22 Years
After more than two decades, the cast of the famous Max Payne has met again. This time the team appeared in Alan Wake 2, where it is very difficult to find them.
Alan Wake 2 contains a lot of easter egss and quite a few of them have probably not yet been discovered. Among them, for example, there is a nice surprise for fans of Max Payne, which Sam Lake, the creative director at Remedy Entertainment, decided to reveal directly.

On X Lake shared a group photo with several members of the cast of the iconic Max Payne, released 22 years ago. As it turns out, the crew discreetly made their appearance in the second installment of Alan Wake's adventures, so it's very possible that even the most attentive gamers missed it.
The aforementioned photograph features - in addition to Lake himself - Jani Niipola (Alex Balder from Max Payne), Carol Kiriakos (Mona Sax), Aki Järvilehto (B.B.), as well as Sam Lake's parents, who played respectively: Nicole Horne and Alfred Woden.
Faithful fans have surely already noticed that this lineup is missing one very important person - the voice of Max Payne himself, namely James McCaffrey. The actor sadly passed away in mid-December, which we also reported.

Actors from the photo will be seen in the short movie titled Yötön Yö (Nightless Night), which can be optionally played in the game. The footage lasts about 15 minutes and is entirely in Finnish. The actors playing the aforementioned roles in Max Payne were immortalized during a dance scene.
Let's also point out that in December Alan Wake 2 received The Final Draft update, which brought, among other things, the New Game Plus mode.
Alan Wake 2 debuted on October 27, 2023, and is available on PC (only in Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Remedy is currently working on two expansions for the game - The Lake House and Night Springs.
