After months of silence, Darksiders 4 is finally coming out of the shadows. During the THQ Nordic show, we received the first trailer for the new installment of the iconic series.

A short description of the game has popped up on Steam, giving us an idea of what the gameplay and structure will be like.
Darksiders 4 is a 3rd person action adventure game featuring combat, traversal and puzzle solving in a lore rich post apocalyptic world.
Take up one of the legendary Horsemen—each with their own unique weapons and combat styles.
Experience fast-paced, visceral action blending melee, fluid traversal, and supernatural abilities.
Journey through apocalyptic landscapes - each teeming with secrets, enemies, and mythic bosses.
The game's page also confirms what the trailer suggested - that the story of Darksiders 4 will start right after the events of the first game, when War was joined by Death, Fury, and Strife in the battle. Everything indicates that we will be able to choose any Rider and go through the solo campaign. What's more, the game is also set to offer online co-op for up to four players, so you can team up with your friends to control the full quartet of Riders at the same time.

Almost a year after the enigmatic announcement, which intrigued more than it informed, Gunfire Games studio has finally lifted the veil of secrecy. During today's show organized by THQ Nordic studio, they presented the first full-fledged (although quite short) trailer for Darksiders 4 - the long-awaited TPP action adventure game, which is supposed to conclude the fate of the Horsemen of the Apocalypse.
The less than a minute long material shows us all four Horsemen. The main focus is on War (the protagonist of the first installment), so the speculations about Strife playing the main role in the game may turn out to be wrong. On the other hand, he's the only one who hasn't gotten "his" turn yet, and we have very little information about Darksiders 4, so we just have to wait for more details. It's possible that War's prominent role in the trailer is simply because of his significance to the series' story.
Unfortunately, the devs didn't reveal the release date of the game. The only consolation is the fact that the title can already be added to the wishlist.
