It’s hard to enjoy the game with so many cheaters running around. Broken Arrow players have been calling it out since the beta, but it doesn’t seem like much has changed.

The first week after Broken Arrow’s launch is upon us, and sadly, the game is already dealing with a familiar multiplayer problem – cheaters. It’s been hit hard, and the devs are getting swamped with reports of sketchy behavior in matches. Things seem pretty hectic right now, and they’ve asked players to hang tight while they look into each case one by one.
Infinite ammo, unlimited health, units zipping around way too fast, there’s a lot of shady things going on in Broken Arrow that definitely looks like cheating. Naturally, players have been flooding the devs with reports. But it looks like the volume has gotten a bit out of hand. The community manager even asked for patience recently, since they’re going through each case manually, and not every report turns out to be actual cheating.

The good news is that bans are tied to a player’s SteamID, so if someone gets caught cheating, they’re out for good unless they make a whole new Steam account and buy the game again. But this isn’t a brand-new issue. There were already plenty of cheater reports back during the beta tests.
On the other hand, you can still get banned for using cheats even in PvE matches. A lot of players like messing around with mods in AI skirmishes, but since there’s no offline mode, it’s a bit of a gamble. One thing’s clear, Broken Arrow doesn’t have enough anti-cheat protection right now, and if things don’t improve, people might just start walking away from the game.

Been with gamepressure.com since 2019, mostly writing game guides but you can also find me geeking out about LEGO (huge collection, btw). Love RPGs and classic RTSs, also adore quirky indie games. Even with a ton of games, sometimes I just gotta fire up Harvest Moon, Stardew Valley, KOTOR, or Baldur's Gate 2 (Shadows of Amn, the OG, not that Throne of Bhaal stuff). When I'm not gaming, I'm probably painting miniatures or admiring my collection of retro consoles.
