After almost four years of development, Sons of Valhalla is finally ready for release. The Pixel Chest studio's game will be released in its complete version on Steam and Epic Games Store on April 5th this year.
The developers also showcased a new gameplay trailer, demonstrating the title that combines elements of RPG and strategy, when they revealed the release date.
Interestingly, the developers also promised that after Sons of Valhalla is released on the market, they don't intend to stop developing the game. Pixel Chest studio intends to release free content in the near future, shedding "some light on the history of certain protagonists."
If you haven't been keeping up with the news about Sons of Valhalla, remember that the game, overseen by the publisher of Manor Lords and Against the Storm, Hooded Horse, will take us to the Viking era. The main character will be Thorald Olavson, who sets out in pursuit of his father's killer - Jarl Valgard. Besides seeking revenge on the killer, the main character needs to save his abducted fiancée, who appears to be very important to the English king.
In Sons of Valhalla we watch the action from the side. Directly controlling the protagonist, we will need to expand our settlement and also arrange attacks on enemy outposts to secure a constant supply of resources. As the game progresses, the challenges will get harder, so we need to focus on developing our character and his units.
Below you can see the system specifications of Sons of Valhalla provided by the devs.
