According to reports of Video Games Chronicle, Codemasters (the studio responsible for DiRT and F1 series) may be taken over by Take-Two Interactive.
Video Games Chronicle reports that Codemasters (the studio responsible for creating games from the DiRT and F1 series) is currently conducting talks with Take-Two Interactive, which may result in establishing cooperation between the two companies (such information reportedly appeared as part of an internal statement found by the website). For the time being, Take-Two has submitted a "non-binding offer" to acquire Codemasters' capital, but before doing so, it must carefully analyse the studio's work. The company responsible for the creation of many racing IPs has admitted that it will accept the offer as soon as it is official. The cooperation is to contribute to the creation of even better titles for virtual racing enthusiasts.
“Take-Two believes that it can bring benefits to Codemasters performance by leveraging Take-Two global distribution and 2K’s core operating expertise in publishing, including, live operations, analytics, product development, and brand and performance marketing," Take-Two wrote in a message sent to VGC.
