Colony Ship, an excellent RPG in the style of Fallout 2 and Arcanum, lived to see a demo on Steam. It's a good opportunity to check out this appreciated game.
Currently in early access, Colony Ship has finally received a demo version. This is a good time to notice to this intriguing game.
Colony Ship is the latest game by Iron Tower, a studio specializing in hardcore RPGs, the creators of the excellent The Age of Decadence.
In the universe of the game there is no FTL travel or cryogenic sleep. To populate distant worlds, so-called generation ships are used. In them, entire generations are born and die on board before a craft reaches its destination. Action of Colony Ship takes place on one such ship somewhere in the middle of its journey. Our protagonist is thus born on the ship and will die on it long before it reaches the planet Proxima Centauri.
Unusual setting is not the only attraction of the game. Iron Tower was founded by fans of the first two installments of Fallout and Colony Ship represents an expansion of ideas from those classics. Thus, we get an isometric view and a tactically developed turn-based combat system. Above all, however, the game offers great freedom in the methods of completing tasks, and the plot is largely shaped by the player's decisions.
Finally, it is worth quoting the system requirements of the PC version of the game.
