Content Warning is a new Steam hit. The game gained many players thanks to the unique idea (mixing YouTuber’s life with horror game) and a period in which the title was for free. While the game still has various technical issues, many players are already waiting for console ports. Are they even possible? Well, let’s talk about it.

Content Warning – Console (Xbox, PS4, PS5, Switch) Release

Many players would like to see as many games as possible on all platforms (at least the most popular ones). Of course, it is impossible due to various reasons – budget restrictions, technical difficulties, or exclusivity agreements. Nevertheless, many titles are available on multiple gaming machines.

In the case of Content Warning, the decision has not yet been made. According to Landfall Publishing (via Game Watcher) there are some “technical bits” which prove the console versions difficult, however, it is not impossible. Additionally, we should be encouraged by the fact that the publisher ported other games in the past, like in the case of TABS. It means that they are experienced in doing so.

However, developers will probably focus on fixing various bugs for the moment, as there are a few of them. Nevertheless, the popularity and reviews of the title are so great, at least for now, that the port is very likely. We will have to wait for the official information which will probably be rather sooner than later. Let’s be patient, as the game was released a few days ago.
