CS:GO Players Recall Best Plays by Bots

The new update for CS:GO eliminates bots from ranked games. How did players react to this change? They aren't happy, but some of them recall what was worth remembering in those artificial enemies.

IN A NUTSHELL:
  • The CS:GO community reminds the most memorable bot plays in connection with their removal from ranked games in the latest update.

The bots in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive have been removed from tournament matches in the new update. Now, a player who disconnects or is thrown out of the tournament will not be replaced by an artificial substitute. A team without some players will have to accept a its reduced line-up. How does the community react to this "novelty"? It seems that the fans of the game are not happy with such a turn of events, although some, instead of grumbling, prefer to reminisce. In general, the bots were not very effective, their skills left a lot to be desired. However, sometimes they had flashes of genius, or vice versa, stupidity so grotesque that it made one smile. Here are their most interesting actions recorded during the games with bots.

Bots better than players

Although bot usually served as "cannon fodder", there were some exceptions to this rule. Some players record cases when a bot suddenly entered "beast mode" and proceeded to wipe out the entire enemy team in the span of moments.

Bad bots

Sometimes, the AI is presented something bad, both in movies and games, embodying our fears of incomprehensible technology. With regard to CS:GO , how can you trust something that can suddenly turn around, aim at a member of your own team and pull the trigger? Such bot actions have happened, although fortunately not very often.

Crazy bots

Amazing, even heroic plays and teamkills just moments later. The unpredictability of bots in CS:GO is something to behold. Well, it's hard to expect human situational judgment from a piece of computer code.

Gone with the bots

The latest patch disabled the possibility of bots appearing in tournament matches and Wingman mode. Currently, when a player is removed or disconnected, the team has to play without them (and also without the possibility to "play" as bot in case a player dies). Although bots were rarely useful during a pro match, their presence was of some value. They were sometimes able to entertain or surprise. And so, Connor, Troy, Brad - thank you for your presence during the games. But not you Lester, definitely not you...
