An unexpected update for Cyberpunk 2077 is already available for download. Patch number 2.2, released on the fourth anniversary of this cult RPG from CD Projekt Red studio, includes an extensive list of new features. As we learned from the stream - the French company Virtuos helped CD Projekt Red in working on the patch.
In Cyberpunk 2077, it will now be possible to change the color and patterns of cars at will. Additionally, players can scan other vehicles and "adopt" their unique appearance. This will affect the gameplay - for instance, if we are being chased by the police, changing the "camouflage" of our car will help us shake off the pursuit. It is also possible to purchase 10 cars (2 of them are only available if you have the Phantom Liberty DLC), which until now could only be obtained by stealing.
The camera in photo mode now has a much larger range and gives us many more options to capture Night City - including 3 new lighting modes. We can also decorate our apartments with photos, and the pics can be viewed from the menu.
We also got a ton of extra options in the character creator (one of the developers mentioned on stream that they've doubled the number of available improvements and modifications). We will now even be able to look like a member of the Mox gang.
Below you will find the full list of changes and new features from the 2.2 update to Cyberpunk 2077. Patch 2.2 is available for download on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
The ten most requested vehicles from the streets of Night City are now available for purchase on Autofixer:
Following Act 1, Johnny will now sometimes appear in the passenger seat while V is driving to comment on and react to what's happening.
We've overhauled Photo Mode and added multiple community-requested features:
SmartFrames by Kiroshi allows you to display your Photo Mode shots in-game by interacting with the picture frames in V's apartments. Browse your photo collection in the new Gallery menu tab located alongside Journal, Shards and Tarot. The Gallery pulls .png images from the screenshots folder on your PC or from your console gallery. For more details on SmartFrames and the Gallery, see this Support article.
Added more character customization options:
Upgraded the Character Creator randomizer to feature a new Plain-to-Punk slider. Whether you're aiming for an understated, casual look or a bold, edgy style for your V, you can now use the slider to strike the perfect balance.
Added more secrets to discover in Night City.
