If you want to find out what is the best solo class in Dark and Darker, then read this article. We also present the ideal character to support the team.

Players have the opportunity to try out Dark and Darker. It is a popular Dungeon Crawler. The game has not been released yet. However, the playtests allow a lot of fun and mechanics to be tried out. Many people ask themselves which classes to play. In this article, we will tell you which is the best solo class. We also talk about ideal character for co-op play.

Dark and Darker - Best solo class

As far as the best classes for solo play are concerned, it is worth mentioning here Ranger and Rogue.

  1. Rangerthis is a very good class for dealing with enemies from afar. This is a valuable skill, as opponents in Dark and Darker can take a lot of HP with even one accurate hit. However, many of them are quite slow, and some are capable of striking enemies from afar - in both cases the Ranger performs admirably. In addition, this character starts with campfire, which will allow you to regenerate health. However, the Ranger performs less well in melee combat, which means that they can have quite a bit of trouble when confronting other players who want to run up to him or her.
  2. Rogue – this character is ideal for dealing with other players. It is faster than other characters, so a skilled player will be able to kill an opponent without being hit even once. In addition, the Rogue can turn invisible, making it an ideal character for ambushing or quietly retreating from an unfavourable circumstance. However it is a class for more experienced players. You have to be familiarized with the game to play rouge properly.
  3. Barbarian – they are quite slow, but in exchange they have a lot of HP and perks which make them even tougher. A barbarian can deal huge damage, which is very useful in solo play. Playing barbarian you have to be very aggressive.

UPDATE: It is worth adding that a new map, The Goblins Cave, has been introduced in Playtest 4. It is designed for solo players. It allows for faster gameplay, for up to 9 people. And, as the name suggests, the main opponents in it are goblins. This makes it an ideal mode for those who want to try solo gameplay.

Dark and Darker – Best party class

Playing in a party is slightly different to playing solo, as it requires cooperation. Every character is therefore important. Someone who can attack from a distance, stop an enemy with their own breastplate and heal is essential. However, the Cleric and Wizard classes are definitely worth highlighting.

  1. Clericcan heal, and this is an invaluable skill in the Dark and Darker world. What's more, Cleric has the power to resurrect fallen comrades, an equally useful spell. On top of this, they can handle undead enemies very well, and this type of opponent is common in the underworld.

Note: by decision of developers, skeletons no longer count as undead.

  1. Wizard – thanks to their spells, the Wizard is definitely a good option as a party member. They can inflict damage and magically strengthen allies, which makes them useful in all circumstances.

Dark and Darker – Best beginner’s class

Without a doubt the best beginner class is a Fighter. It Is a very versatile character. Fighters are good at everything, this is also their weak point because they are not excellent at anything. However, good stats make them perfect for new players. If you start your adventure, pick this class.
