DBD 7.5.0 - Quick Summary

Patch 7.5.0 is coming to Dead by Daylight. This will introduce a number of significant changes like a rework of the killers and an attempt to resolve 3-gen issues. These featues are currently available on the PTB, so you can test them for yourself. From this guide you will learn the most important information about the patch.

Changes to Killers

Update 7.5.0 will introduce major changes to the three killers.

1. Hillbilly has received a major buff. Chainsaw Sprint's base speed has been increased and hitboxes been improved. Most importantly, Overheat has been replaced by Overdrive. It grants additional power bonuses.
2. Onryo has received a few changes that are a compromise between the old and new versions of the killer. The most noticeable difference is the use of Condemned. It will be applied to any survivor within 16 meters of the switched-on TV. Hooking a survivor, will lock their Condemned progress.
3. Blight power add-ons were nerfed.

3-gen solution

The developers decided to take the fight to the 3-gen strategy. To achieve this, the mechanics of kicking generators have been modified.

1. The game will count regression events. Each generator can experience 8 of them. They occur when you physically interact with a generator.
2. If the generator experiences 8 regression events then it cannot be damaged.
3. To balance the chances, “Gen tapping” has been removed. The generator will only stop regressing if the survivor repairs 5% of the progress.

Other changes

Patch 7.5.0 also introduces a number of smaller changes. The list of these is as follows.

1. Mount Ormond is a big and empty map. Behaviour Interactive decided to change this by adding more objects. The central part of the map will be more interesting now.
2. The effects of Save the Best for Last, Hex: Ruin, Grim Embrace, Quick Gambit, Shadowborn, Monitor and Abuse perks are to be changed.
3. FOV will be added to the game.
