After several beta tests, 33 Immortals, a game from the creators of Spiritfarer, is finally out in Early Access on Epic and Xbox (plus, it’s on Game Pass). But unfortunately, not on Steam. Tons of players have jumped in to try it out, but some are a bit confused about Empathy. Here’s everything you need to know about it.
Empathy is one of your character's three stats, but it's a bit more complex than the others.
And in a game that’s all about teamwork, that might just be the most crucial stat to focus on. To use these co-op abilities, you have to press Shift, which generates a sigil that other players must interact with.
All your characteristic points can be increased at Dust Shrines in exchange for bones, but you can also get some relics to increase them.
Additionally, each weapon possesses unique co-op powers that scale with Empathy:
In other words, if you're focusing on attack skills, you’ll want to invest at least a decent amount in Empathy. And if your whole team prioritizes Empathy, you might end up pulling off some surprisingly powerful moves.

Been with gamepressure.com since 2019, mostly writing game guides but you can also find me geeking out about LEGO (huge collection, btw). Love RPGs and classic RTSs, also adore quirky indie games. Even with a ton of games, sometimes I just gotta fire up Harvest Moon, Stardew Valley, KOTOR, or Baldur's Gate 2 (Shadows of Amn, the OG, not that Throne of Bhaal stuff). When I'm not gaming, I'm probably painting miniatures or admiring my collection of retro consoles.
