MMO EVE Online will soon receive a collector's edition to celebrate the game's 20th anniversary. It will include, among other things, a plushie that fans have been asking for for several years.
Space MMO EVE Online turned twenty this year. Few games focused on online gameplay manage to live to such an age, so the developers decided to celebrate this event in a special way. Some time ago they announced a collector's edition of the game, which can already be preordered on Limited Run Games.
The anniversary collector's edition costs $174.99. It includes:
Fans of EVE Online are happiest about one particular thing, namely the Fedo plushie included in the game's collector's edition. The first to demand is going on sale two years ago was Reddit user Ceyella. He put in a ton of work planning the production of the plushie, and at one point had to face a rejection from CCP, but eventually he succeeded.
"I'm surprised that CCP actually did it, I gave up because it [the production of the plushie - ed. note] was unclear. I wanted it to be more accurate; I created a whole CCP marketing campaign on Fedo, stickers on the main Discord, and finally the plushie. [...]
Even if you are not interested in Fedo, I feel somehow immortalized that I managed to convince a big Icelandic company to produce the plushie," wrote Ceyella.
"Fedo is a small, omnivorous creature found in caves on the planet Palpis in EVE Online. It is a very hardy species, so it can survive in the vacuum for up to several hours."
Pre-orders for the collector's edition of EVE Online will end on September 10.
