Rockfish Games has revealed the release date of Everspace 2. The PC version will be released on April 6, and on consoles (PS5, XSX/S) the game will arrive in the summer. The announcement is accompanied by a new trailer:

Early access comes to an end for Everspace 2, the space shooter from Rockfish Games.

Rockfish Games has been working on the project for 5 years, with early access to Everspace 2 having debuted in January 2021. The game can be purchased on Steam and GOG.com. The title has met with a warm reception - on Steam 87% of user reviews praise the project, which is categorized as a "very positive" reception.
Currently Everspace 2 is available exclusively on PC, but the developers have plans for console versions as well. The game is a space shooter enriched with RPG elements. During the game we explore an open world, perform missions and fight enemy units. Improving of our ships also plays an important role.
Two years of Everspace 2 development in Early Access
Since its launch in early access Everspace 2 has developed significantly. The game world has expanded with additional systems, there were also new challenges, missions and puzzles, ship parts, factions and enemy types. The devs improved gameplay balance, expanded the progression system with additional levels and perks, and introduced the ability to open subspace rifts into dimensions filled with insane enemies.
Players also received the ability to use so-called wallers, changing conditions and difficulty levels in dangerous regions. The crafting system was also expanded and the devs implemented various new language versions.
Finally, it is worth mentioning that the early version of Everspace 2 costs just under $35. The price of version 1.0 will be higher, but for now the developers have not revealed a specific amount.
