Everspace 2 Update Adds New Content; Discount Available
Popular space shooter Everspace 2 has received the Armed & Dangerous update with new content. we also learned a little about the game's further development.
Rockfish Games has released a new update for the space shooter Everspace 2 on PC and consoles (and the first since the game left early access).
Update
The patch is titled Armed & Dangerous and it brings a number of new features.
- In the update, the developers have introduced 10 item pools, 2 attributes for companions, 4 perks for ships of each class, 4 catalysts for crafting and 15 wing modules.
- In addition, more than 40 item attributes have been added to the loot pool, providing a greater variety of combinations.
- Players can now reroll bonus attributes, as well as take advantage of random hull paint patterns.
- Improvements have also been made to the soundtrack.
- The game has finally received macOS support. The devs warn that the game's performance on hardware with an M2 or weaker processor may be unsatisfactory.
Everspace 2 deal
To celebrate the release of the update on Steam a discount has been organized for Everspace 2. The game can now be purchased 30% off. The offer will remain valid until October 9.
In addition, artbook and soundtrack from the game have gone on sale on Steam.
Development roadmap
The developers also shed some light on the further development plans for Everspace 2.
- A major update will be released in the spring of 2024, called Incursions.
- The spring patch is expected to offer new legendary items, additional ship modules and a thoroughly refreshed endgame.
- In the summer, in turn, the devs will appear at gamescom, where we can expect further information about the game's future.
Everspace 2 debuted on PC in early access in January 2021, and version 1.0 was released this April. On August 15, 2023, in turn, we received releases for Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PlayStation 5. The game is available in Game Pass.
