One of the most important elements of FIFA 22 will undoubtedly be the Ultimate Team mode (FUT for short). Some time ago we informed that EA Sports temporarily introduced an option to preview the contents of packs available in the game store. It turns out that we'll find this feature also in FIFA 22. Moreover, the devs confirmed that the Web App will launch in a few days.
EA Sports shared details about the Ultimate Team mode in FIFA 22. In the rather long list of information, we can find mention of the fact that in the new installment we will once again be able to (once every 24 hours) preview the content of packages before purchase. This feature was introduced in FIFA 21 with the start of Euro 2020 and was supposed to disappear soon after the end of the biggest football event in Europe. However, this did not happen and we can still peek at who is hiding in the packs available in the store. According to EA Sports, the fans liked the feature so much that they decided to implement it in FIFA 22 as well and all indications are that it will be around for the entire new FUT season. Remember that the preview packs will be available on all hardware platforms except Nintendo Switch.
Those who are planning to assemble their dream team in FIFA 22 will probably also be happy to know that EA announced the launch of the browser version of the companion FUT Web App on September 22. A day later, the app will also be available on Android and iOS mobile devices. The Web App enables us to open and buy packs, trade players, complete SBCs, and much more. It has become an unwritten tradition that about a week before the release, gamers from all over the world start building their squads so that they are ready for the game's launch on PC and consoles.
FIFA 22 will be coming to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PCs and Google Stadia on October 1, 2021. On Nintendo Switch on the same day, we'll play a trimmed-down version called FIFA 22: Legacy Edition.
