Clair Obscur Expedition 33 is finally here. The game has extremally good reviews. So, no wonder that thousands of people are eager to play it. However, not all can enjoy it properly. First of all, many players experience crashes. Luckily, there is an easy fix to that. Moreover, developers are working to solve the issue. However, there is one additional problem – more and more people are reporting stuttering. Luckily, it does not seem like as serious problem, as in many other games.
Stuttering in Clair Obscur Expedition 33 explained
It seems that stuttering is part of our modern gaming life. Even if you have top PC, it is not guaranteed that you will not experience it. Unreal Engine 5 is especially feared among players, as it is believed by many to be a source of technical issues most of the time. However, as always, the situation is more complex, and we can’t put all the blame on the engine, as there are numerous reasons why your game might not be performing well.
While, except the crash issue, Clair Obscur Expedition 33 seems to work quite well for most of the players, there are still many people who experience stuttering in it. How to fix it? There are many potential causes. Let’s look at some fixes:
- Disable all software running in the background. I would add overlays to it, however turning off Steam overlay is not recommended until the crash issue is solved by developers. So, double check that.
- Make sure to run the game on SSD, as it is a requirement.
- Check your drivers, especially graphics, for updates.
- Make sure that your PC can run the game (list of requirements is below).
- Lower graphics and turn on frame generation, to ease the PC.
