The Front is a post-apocalyptic survival game currently available in early access. In the game we find ourselves in a world destroyed by a tyrannical empire. The whole adventure, however, is based on exploration of the environment, fighting enemies and collecting resources. Of course, as befits a game of this genre, there is also crafting. Unfortunately, this system has a bug (which may not be a bug at all), affecting furnace and campfire actions. In this guide you will learn how to fix it.

The Front - Furnace and Campfire do not work

The Front players have started reporting a rather persistent problem with crafting. It causes the furnace and campfire to simply stop working. As it turns out, this happens at a very specific time.

  1. Raw material processing only works if you don't close the menu responsible for it. If you turned it off and the whole process stopped, you have to open it again.
  2. Unfortunately, the mechanics constructed in such a way means that you actually have to stop playing while cooking and melting metal.

However, a theory has emerged that this is not a bug, but a deliberate move by the developers. According to it, this is to encourage players to automate the process by acquiring followers. Similar mechanics are known, for example, from Conan Exiles, in which many processes can be automated by leaving workers at workstations.
