Genshin Impact's Biggest Update to Date Adds Japan-inspired Region

A new update has been announced for Genshin Impact and it will be the game's biggest update to date, introducing a new region called Inazuma, three characters, and plenty of other content.

Big moment for fervent fans of the free-to-play fantasy game Genshin Impact from MiHoYo. We got to know the release date of update 2.0, titled The Immovable God and the Eternal Euthymia, which will take place on July 21, this year. This will be the biggest expansion so far, which will bring a breath of fresh air to the land of Teyvat. The update introduces a brand new region, characters, story line, enemies, bosses and much more. Below you can watch the trailer.

Genshin Impact 2.0 will deliver the long-awaited Japan-inspired region of Inazuma. The area consists of six islands and is separated from Liyue and Mondstadt by the sea. The regions there are ruled by the elemental archon of Electro, who despite his god-like status, obsessively pursues eternal life. The update will also introduce two new five-star characters - Electro-wielding Ayaka and Pyro archer Yoimiya, as well as one four-star - charming, Claymore-wielding Sayu, whose domain is Anemo. The game will also feature new bosses and weapons modeled after Japanese culture.

When it comes to technical novelties the title will be expanded with the cross-save feature enabling us to log into one account and play the connected save game file on any platform on which the game is available. Additionally, support for DualSense's haptic vibrations has been introduced for PlayStation 5 owners as well as improved character shading and optimization.

Genshin Impact is available for free on PC, Android, iOS mobile devices, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch.
