Ghost Recon: Wildlands free weekend inbound and a new PvP mode launching today

Action games fans will be able to play Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Wildlands for free this weekend and buy it at a 50% discount. As for the current players, today they can start playing a new PvP mode, called Ghost War.

Ubisoft has announced a free weekend with Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands. Players worldwide will be able to play the full version of the open world TPP shooter at no cost from October 12 at 12:00 A.M. PDT through October 16 at 12:00 PDT on all three platforms: PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 (the hours for specific platforms are a bit different – head over to Ubi Blog to find out more). PC and PS4 players will get to pre-load the game before the fun begins. As for the consoles, Xbox Live Gold or PlayStation Plus membership is required.

Should you enjoy the free weekend enough to want to continue playing beyond that, know that Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands will be 50% off on October 12-16 (or up to October 23 for Uplay PC, PS4, and Xbox Live Gold members).

This will also be a good opportunity for everyone interested in the game to try out the all new Ghost War 4v4 team deathmatch mode, launching today for free. Players can choose from 12 character classes and form a deadly team of four in order to challenge an opposing group of players, while using smart tactics and stealthy techniques. Ghost War is promised to be further expanded in the future with the addition of new maps, classes, and modes.
