Not long time ago we were talking about Gray Zone Warfare early access and how to play it. Now we may say that the time is here, as it is confirmed that the game will be launched tomorrow. You can watch a trailer here. However, with a PC release, many people are looking for information about consoles. Well… it is not so simple.

Gray Zone Warfare – Console (Xbox, PS4, PS5) Release

Tactical shooters have fans on all platforms, not only on PC. Developers from the Madfinger Games studio are aware that and they do not ignore questions about this subject. They are often asked by fans about Xbox and PlayStation ports. The answer can be found in FAQ published on the Steam forum. The announcement is as follows:

Q. What platforms will your new game be playable on?

A. We are starting on PC first. Our goal is to make this game as smooth and polished as possible, so we want to start there and then we will see.

As we can see, console release will not happen anytime soon. However, developers do not cross out this possibility. Taking into consideration the wording, we should expect PS5 or Xbox ports not sooner than end of early access on Steam.

Above is also confirmed by the X post on the game’s official account. Devs states openly that they want console ports, but they can be years out.

At the moment of writing this article, creators did not announce system requirements for the game. However, taking into consideration the gameplay videos, we may assume that Gray Zone Warfare will not be published on the old generation consoles. So, take this into consideration.
