Season 15 introduced Galactic Weapons skins to Overwatch 2. So how to get these unique cosmetics?
Overwatch 2 received big changes. Season 15 introduced a perk system that allows players to create new playstyles. Of course, this isn’t everything, as for example, Lootboxes have returned. Blizzard also gives us new skins to customize our heroes. Galactic Weapons is a unique series of cosmetics that can be earned during the gameplay. However, acquiring them can be frustrating because it requires a lot of patience.
Season 15 in Overwatch 2 introduced Galactic Weapons – glowing, purple cosmetic skins that reflect lights. As the name suggests, they were designed to resemble a star-filled space (I have to admit that it looks very good).
So, how to get these skins? In theory, it is quite simple, just play the competitive mode. In return, you will receive some Competitive Points – 10 for a win, 5 for a draw and 0 for a loss. Keep in mind that these aren’t particularly big numbers.
To unlock one of the Galactic Weapons, you must earn 3000 Competitive Points. This means that unlocking just one skin will require you to take part in hundreds of matches. Much less if you have a really long winning strike, but let’s be honest – you will draw and lose on your way. There are 42 Galactic skins in Overwatch 2. So, to unlock all of them, you will need 126 000 Competitive Points. Even counting the bonuses from the Competitive Progression Bar, getting all of them requires incredible amount of grind.
