Want to enjoy your Steam library without explicit mature content? Here's a quick guide to setting up filters for a cleaner, NSFW-free, and hentai-free feed.

If you’re tired of seeing all kinds of hentai and mature games on your Steam feed, don't worry. You can easily filter that out without losing access to, let's say, the more typical levels of nudity and sexual content in games, like those found in Cyberpunk or Baldur's Gate 3.
It’s all about filters my loves! Log into the Steam app and click on your account in upper-right corner. Choose ‘Store preferences’ and there you should see six different filters. To block adult/NSFW games, make sure to check only the following boxes:
I assure you these settings will work perfectly. Don't worry, games like The Witcher and Bayonetta should still show up, as their tags match the filters.
If you're using a Steam Deck, you can find the ‘Store Preferences’ tab by clicking on your account icon in the upper-right corner, then selecting ‘Account Details’.
Just to be absolutely clear, turn off these filters if you don’t want to see unwanted adult games:
So, now that everything’s nicely filtered again, tell me this: How did those settings get changed in the first place? When I checked my account (with everything set to default), I only had those three filters on. Mystery, right? Let me guess – someone else clicked it, or maybe your cat ran across the keyboard? All good, just joking! No judgment here.

Been with gamepressure.com since 2019, mostly writing game guides but you can also find me geeking out about LEGO (huge collection, btw). Love RPGs and classic RTSs, also adore quirky indie games. Even with a ton of games, sometimes I just gotta fire up Harvest Moon, Stardew Valley, KOTOR, or Baldur's Gate 2 (Shadows of Amn, the OG, not that Throne of Bhaal stuff). When I'm not gaming, I'm probably painting miniatures or admiring my collection of retro consoles.
