Free DLC titled Ruin was released yesterday for FNAF Security Breach. It introduces a brand new story that takes place after the events known from the base game. During its course you will encounter many threats - including Glitchtrap. In this guide you will learn when you can see it and what effect it has on gameplay.
Warning.
Below you will encounter spoilers from FNAF Security Breach's DLC: Ruin and Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted. Read at your own risk.
Glitchtrap is nothing more than a digital version of the series' main antagonist William Afton. It was first introduced in Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted. From the tapes collected during the game, we gradually learn about his origins and his ability to influence those who he comes into contact with.
In one of the endings of FNAF Security Breach you could confront the so-called Burntrap, a physical version of William Afton. It gave you the opportunity to see the remains of Spring Bonnie with the killer's corpse latched inside in their full glory. However, unlocking it required defeating all three of the main animatronics (the last of which must be fought without the ability to save game).
In FNAF Security Breach Ruin we return to the complex to find the protagonist of the base game, Gregory. At the initial stage of the game, you will receive Vanny's rabbit mask.

After putting it on, you will find that it expands reality. So you see various digital elements and a digital version of Afton - Glitchtrap. Of course, he will interfere with your plans.
So you must be on your guard whenever he appears in your sight.
