Popular Battle Royale Switches to F2P [Update #2]

The developers of Naraka: Bladepoint have announced that the game will soon be released in free-to-play model and will receive a PlayStation 5 version.

The first weekend after switching to F2P model was very successful. According to data from SteamDB, only on Steam Naraka: Bladepoint was simultaneously played by more than 264 thousand people. The title is also available on PS5 and Xbox.

As announced, Naraka: Bladepoint has switched to free-to-play model (also on Xbox). At the same time, the title debuted on PlayStation 5, where it is also available in free-to-play model.

Studio 24 Entertainment has announced that the highly popular battle royale game Naraka: Bladepoint will soon switch to free-to-play model with microstransactions.

Naraka: Bladepoint will transform into a F2P game on July 13 this year.
The PlayStation 5 version will be released on the same day.
All PlayStation 5 users will receive a katana skin (Ryuzan-Frost Reflection) and two so-called Immortal Treasures.
PlayStation Plus members will additionally receive five treasures, an exclusive headgear designed specifically for subscribers and additional bonuses to facilitate the gameplay.
Those who bought the game before it switches toe free-to-play model will get between 1,960 and 4,960 gold, depending on which edition they had.

Recall that Naraka: Bladepoint was released on PC via Steam and Epic Games Store on August 11, 2021, followed by an Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S version in June 2022, and an Xbox One edition was released last December.

The game focuses on PvP multiplayer gameplay in several different variants, but also offers a cooperative mode. The game has proven to be very popular - more than 20 million people have played it. This figure should not be confused with sales, as the game is also available on Game Pass, but despite this, the devs still have reason to be satisfied, as it is one of the most popular battle royale productions on the market.
