Naraka: Bladepoint

Naraka: Bladepoint is an online action game that focuses on close combat and resembles the well-known Ubisoft production - For Honor. However, the title enriches the formula with a few new ideas and solutions. It was created and released by a debuting Chinese studio - 24 Entertainment.

Mechanics

Action in Naraka: Bladepoint is observed from behind the back of the hero or heroine - from TPP. The game is based on combat with the use of melee weapons, and its main goal is of course to defeat the rival (or rivals). Importantly, combat is not always on an equal rules - in some situations we can use numerical superiority and also eliminate opponents with stealth attacks.

The combat system used in the game from 24 Entertainment emphasizes sense of rhythm and parrying, blocking and avoiding attacks at the right time. The knowledge of particular attack animations is very important here - different weapons are characterized by different speed and strength.

The creators have also enriched their game with a system of exploration using parkour. Players have a rope hook at their disposal, which they can use to instantly get to a place that would normally be beyond their character's reach. We can also hang, holding on to protruding elements on the walls (which enables us to set a trap for the enemy), and even run on vertical surfaces.

Naraka: Bladepoint is based on an online multiplayer mode.

Technical aspects

Naraka: Bladepoint features nice three-dimensional visual. Both the characters and the maps on which they fight look really good. The animations and light effects accompanying the attacks also make a solid impression. The devs used an interesting artistic style, in which one can see a clear inspiration with Chinese popculture.
