NBA 2K24 is Coming With Highly-anticipated Feature; PC Gamers Bamboozled Again

Developers from Visual Concepts have shared new details about NBA 2K24. The next installment of this popular sports game series will finally bring the coveted cross-play feature. Unfortunately, PC owners continue to be treated like second-class citizens.

As every other year publisher 2K Sports, together with Visual Concepts, announced a new installment of the popular sports game series NBA 2K. The production bearing the number 24 will be dedicated to the tragically deceased basketball legend Kobe Bryant. The athlete's image will adorn both the edition signed with his name and the Black Mamba edition (that was the athlete's nickname).

  • As it turns out, not only this touching tribute will make NBA 2K24 an exceptional release. The developers have revealed that the game will finally receive cross-play support on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
  • What's more, NBA 2K24 will offer a ProPlay mode. This technology directly processes NBA footage into in-game gameplay. This means that the animations and movements provided by ProPLAY will be a breakthrough in the authenticity of gameplay on PS5 and XSX/S.
  • Unfortunately, that's where the good news ends, as the developers have decided to uphold an unpleasant tradition and will once again not allow PC owners to experience the quality of gameplay from current-gen consoles. Instead, a version based on the edition, created with older Sony and Microsoft devices (PS4 and XOne) in mind, will be released on their platform. Again.

As I mentioned, the feeling of disappointment is well known to PC players of NBA from 2K. Last year, the developers of the series also failed to deliver a top-notch experience on PC, which was heavily commented on the web. So it should be expected that this time, too, dissatisfied with this state of affairs, players will give vent to their anger on the Internet.

An introvert by nature. Since childhood, he felt a closer connection to humanism than to the sciences. Instead of exercises in maths, he preferred shutting himself up in his world and inventing new stories of his favorite anime – Dragon Ball. After years of study came a time of stagnation, which he preferred to call "searching for purpose." Looking out for destiny during the 58th screening of his beloved Die Hard, he decided – like John McCLane – to fight for a better future. He found the avenue to do this in Gamepressure. Since he's still a freshman in the newsroom, he doesn't have a target subject he wants to focus on yet. So, you can expect news about farming simulators, or the impact of Johnny Depp's trial on the future of Pirates of the Caribbean. If you ever hear that playing console games and watching movies is futile – remember this story
