New Track in Forza Motorsport Still in January, At the Expense of Cars and Fixes

Contrary to speculations, Turn 10 studio hasn't taken a Christmas break and is adding a third post-release track to Forza Motorsport in January – this time, it will be Daytona. Unfortunately, there will be no brand-new cars (except for the DLC) nor more significant gameplay tweaks.

Studio Turn 10 is riding the wave â?? the third major post-launch update to Forza Motorsport, called Update 4, will introduce the third additional track to the game. It seems that the developer is determined to maintain the interest of a relatively modest community, which hasn't given up on this title yet, regularly rolling out the big guns â?? even after the Christmas and New Year break.

The track will be added on January 16, and it will be Daytona International Speedway â?? another location known from previous installments of the series, just like Yas Marina and Hockenheim added in previous updates. The route will be available in two variants: road and oval (by the way: this is the fourth oval in the game that has given up on all vehicles intended for such tracks1, including IndyCar and NASCAR).

Unfortunately, dedicating attention to adding a new location in a month as relaxed as January had to come at the expense of other attractions. First of all, we cannot count on significant technical fixes. The developers warned that this update will only fix minor errors related to cars and routes â?? more serious improvements will come in February. We will know the full list of changes on Tuesday.

In addition, although we will receive six free cars again in Update 4, they will only be models known from previous installments of the series. The four of them will be added to showroom at a rate of one per week â?? starting from January 18, these will be:

  1. 1992 Lancia Delta HF Integrale EVO
  2. 2017 Abarth 124 Spider
  3. 2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio Verde
  4. 2007 Ferrari 430 Scuderia

In addition, traditionally, two cars reserved as rewards for completing new, time-limited races in career mode will be added, namely:

  1. 1965 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA Stradale (until February 15th)
  2. 2010 Lamborghini Murcielago LP 670-4 SV (until February 29)

Additionally, holders of the Car Pass will receive four more cars. These, for a change, are brand new and will also be made available every week, from January 18th:

  1. 2019 McLaren Senna GTR
  2. 2019 Ferrari #62 Risi Competizione 488 GTE
  3. 2022 Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro
  4. 2018 Cadillac #57 TA CTS-V

The multiplayer races planned for next month are also worth noting. As part of the prestigious 24-hour race, which will take place at the Daytona track at the end of January (for the 62nd time), from January 25-31, we will be able to participate in the competition in various classes of modern racing cars (changing every few hours), and hours will go by in real time. This is an interesting change from the usual routine.

However, Update 5 should appear in mid-February, judging by the schedule for making new cars available (the last one is scheduled for February 8).
