Today’s Nintendo Direct might have just been a Mini Direct, but there were still a lot of announcements, from the Portal games to the Persona series, there’s a lot to talk about.

Today’s Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase revealed information about third-party games coming to the Nintendo Switch over the next year or so. This included new information about Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, and a surprise announcement about several games from the Persona series coming to Nintendo Switch. Fans of the Monster Hunter series have a lot to look forward to, with the massive expansion Sunbreak coming to Monster Hunter Rise on June 30th. This presentation also showed that there will be several waves of free content coming to the game as well, with one coming in August, another in the Fall, Winter, and a final addition sometime next year. There’s also a demo available on the Nintendo eShop if you can’t wait a few more days.
The highly anticipated Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope got a release date of October 20th, with Pre-Orders also beginning today. Sonic Frontiers, which takes Sonic to an “open-zone” style game, was announced to arrive on the Switch this holiday season. This direct also surprised fans with the Portal Companion Collection dropping today for the Nintendo Switch.
The direct ended with the announcement that three games from the Persona series would be coming to the Nintendo Switch. Both Persona 4 Golden and Persona 3 Portable were announced without concrete release dates, but Persona 5 Royal is scheduled to arrive on October 21st.
